Our Story
Reaper Custom Fabrication started in 2010 in a two-bay garage with a gravel floor, no doors, and one light in the ceiling. What it lacked in resources, it made up for in grit, skill, and a refusal to cut corners.
Today, Reaper is a trusted fabrication partner for agencies, manufacturers, and system providers across the country — known for solving complex problems and building things others can’t.

Seasoned Leadership
A hands-on builder and problem-solver, Matt Greene founded Reaper with a belief that quality, integrity, and accountability still matter. He remains deeply involved in projects, operations, and client relationships.
Matt Greene is the founder of Reaper Custom Fabrication and a builder at heart — shaped by discipline, driven by problem-solving, and grounded in hands-on craft.
An honorably discharged United States Marine Corps combat veteran and Scout Sniper, Matt served two tours in Iraq and later returned as an instructor, training Marines with the same focus and accountability he brings to his work today. The Marine Corps instilled a mindset that still defines his approach: preparation matters, details matter, and failure isn’t an option when people are depending on you.
After his military service, Matt transitioned directly into fabrication and manufacturing, joining SPEVCO, Inc. as a welder and fabricator. His technical skill and leadership quickly earned him a promotion to Project Manager, where he led fabrication teams responsible for high-end event, marketing, and medical vehicles built for corporate and government clients. In 2013, he brought that experience into the experiential marketing world, joining the team at Muddy Creek Motorsports and deepening his expertise in complex, mobile, real-world builds.
Long before any of that, Matt was already a fabricator. As a kid, if it had moving parts or an engine, he took it apart — and made sure it worked better when it went back together. He built and raced go-karts as a teenager, then moved on to sprint cars, learning early what performance, precision, and durability really mean when something has to work under pressure.
Matt is a graduate of the welding program at Forsyth Technical Community College and completed nearly the entire heavy equipment diesel program there as well, earning straight A’s while working part-time in a heavy-duty equipment garage. It was during that final semester that he made a defining decision: to step away from the expected path and enlist in the Marine Corps — a choice that would sharpen his skills, discipline, and leadership in ways that still guide Reaper today.
Reaper Custom Fabrication brings Matt’s journey full circle — combining the technical foundation, military discipline, and lifelong passion for building into a company trusted to execute complex, high-stakes fabrication work. Matt remains deeply involved in projects and operations, driven by the same belief that started it all: if something is worth building, it’s worth building right.
